Hi, I’m Amy. I’m a painter and a long-time supporter of creative adventures. For the last 17 years I have lived and worked in Cambridgeshire, devising and delivering creative projects including public art schemes, festival and events. I’ve worked with some fantastic people and organisations across genres including dance, visual arts, music and circus. My recent consultancy work has included contracts with Babylon Arts and Cambridge Sustainable Food.
I’m currently working on a project called Somewhere, in Ely which is all about community-commissioning of art. The project, funded by Arts Council England (National Lottery), offers an opportunity for artists to respond to ideas and interests expressed by the community. More details about this project can be found here.
As well as facilitating creative projects I am a practicing artist. I graduated from Art School with a Fine Art degree in 2002 but didn’t pick up a paintbrush again until 2016. I started exhibiting my paintings in 2017, and won accolades in the Cambridge Open Art Exhibition in 2017, Best in Show at Cambridge Open Art Exhibition 2018 and Top Twenty Award in Cambridge Open Art Exhibition 2019. I had my first solo show in September 2018 at the award-winning Storeys Field Centre (shortlisted for the RIBA Sterling Prize). In 2019 I was shortlisted for the D Contemporary Painting Prize and exhibited my work in D Contemporary Gallery, Mayfair. More details about past and future exhibitions can be found here.
